EARP'S STORY
Earp’s Seafood Market began 52 years ago, when it was founded by Herbert Earp and his wife, Mary. According to family members, Mr. Earp left a job working at the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company and started the seafood market as the new family business with only $50 seed money. Over the past five decades, the seafood market has been run by family members, becoming a staple of Raleigh’s retail landscape along the way & is considered one of the best seafood markets in Raleigh.
Located on South Saunders Street along the southern gateway into Raleigh’s downtown, Earp’s Seafood Market prides itself in providing its customers with fish brought in daily from the shores of our east coast. With its light blue awning, a bright and multi-colored mural of fish and prominent white letters that spell out the family’s name, Earp’s Seafood Market is one of Raleigh’s most recognizable landmarks.
